ideal spot for walks and nearby attractions
I loved being just a ten-minute walk from the old charming town and the unique Black Forest architecture. The super nice team when I needed directions to nearby landmarks.

Lots of options for marvellous and satisfactory breakfast. Location just off the city center as well as more of a walk from the train station.

The view of the town was wonderful and our room was nicely furnished and immaculately clean. We had climate control, an individual safe, and multi-channel TV in the room...

The breakfast was fabulous 😍, and the rooms were pretty soundproof. The only letdown was the inconsistent internet connection.

Everything was good, favourable location to historical center of Gengenbach, the staff were amicable. Location: the hotel was just next door to the Kinzig river and Black Forest, up to Karlsruhe and more of a walk from the train station. Popped in Gasthaus Zum Turm for shots before sleep, it was not very far from the venue. The services were excellent, offered excellent meals and sauna, had a good stay👌

Friendly service from staff made the stay enjoyable.
The sofa bed was uncomfortable for my child. The air conditioning could not be set below 22 degrees, frustrating during warmer days. The restaurant's hours were limited, leaving us without lunch options and requiring trips to town for meals.

The location was great, just a short walk to town. The rooms were a good size for a family of 4 and the rates include a nice breakfast buffet.
The hotel public areas and rooms smell like stale cigarette smoke. The hotel bar allows patrons to smoke and the ventilation is pretty bad.

Nice and clean swimming pool, delicious food specially a la carte menu was awsome!
Mostly I satisfied for staying at there, but only one thing is floor carpet. Hope to be reinstalled in the future...

The hotel is well-located. The soundproofing in the rooms provided a peaceful night's sleep despite some noise from the dining area below. The sofa bed for children was uncomfortable, and the Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent .

Hotel had robes and slippers for a spa like feel. Bed was comfortable.
Restaraunt staff was rude. Asked at the front desk if we could just go in to the restaraunt, she said yes(she was nice). However, when it came time to pay the waiter made a huge issue out of us not having a reservation. They even brought the cook out! I was SO embarrassed. The girl who had been at the front desk came by and I told her was a problem. She said there was no problem and walked into the kitchen. I waited another few minutes for the waiter to return. I felt uncomfortable like I had done something wrong by eating there. Kind of ruined the whole spa experience. Then we sat at the outdoor tables for one drink prior to going to bed, only to have an elderly guest shush us at 9:30 PM with her hands on her hips even though we were quiet

The town was quintessential Germany- beautiful.
Room was hot with no air conditioning and way overpriced compared to other places we have stayed in this country. The window overlooked a courtyard that had tables with very loud, drinking patrons in the early evening. Overall, unpleasant. The breakfest was average.
